It is an infamous fact that Apple is no longer allowing compatibility for older devices and this is through blocking the update or releasing the final update that gives it the last of the past OS version.
The year 2023 is a time of another round of possibilities for technology, with Apple's WWDC 2023 right around the corner for all its devices, including the iPadOS 17, dropping alongside other devices.

French leaker,iPhoneSoft has shareda new rumor for the future of the iPadOS 17, and allegedly, Apple's plans to stop the support for updating to the latest software with these devices. This means that when the new OS drops later this year, it will no longer receive a prompt to update to the new offers from the company.
The iPad devices that are rumored to stop support for iPadOS 17 include the fifth-generation iPad Classic which was released in 2017 and the first-generation iPad Pro which was released in 2015.
The iPad Pro includes both models in the lineup with the 9.7-inch screen and the 12.9-inch device.
Later releases from Apple's iPad lineup that was not mentioned above will continue to update to the upcoming offers from the company come June's announcement.

And when iOS 15 dropped, it announced that these iPhones are no longer available to receive the latest update, correctly predicting those considered vintage by the company.
