David Byrne holds a brain during his presentation as part of the first day of Lollapalooza Chile 2018 at Parque O'Higgins on March 16, 2018 in Santiago, Chile.

This conference was conducted by Elon Musk on Wednesday, Nov. 30, so that he could share the latest updates about his advanced brain chip technology.

Now, the billionaire decided to make an event with an unusual opening.

The participants were greeted with a series of letters typed by a monkey.

They explained that every time the monkey traces a letter or number, it would have a reward.

Thanks to this training, the monkey was able to type the "Welcome to Show and Tell" sentence during the event.

The monkey was able to type the mentioned sentence using its brain, which is translated by a Neuralink implant.

Involved experts said they could connect the monkey's brain to the computer using electrodes.

These electrodes record the neuronal activity, which is then received by the chip in a computer. After that, the signals are mapped, organized, and reproduced.

Elon Musk to Install One-Is Human Trial Next?

CNBCreported that Elon Musk wants to install a Neuralink chip in himself.

"You could have a Neuralink device implanted right now and you wouldn't even know. I mean, hypothetically ... In fact, in one of these demos, I will," said the billionaire.

This just shows his confidence regarding this brain implant technology. As of writing, people are still waiting for the actual human trials of Neuralink.

Since discussions between Neuralink and the U.S. Food and Drug Administration are going well, Musk said that he is expecting their first human trials to begin in the next six months.
