A new James Bond video game could soon arrive since the popular "Hitman" series' developers are allegedly working on its "Project 007," which could be the very first James Bond origin story.
According toThe Verge, IO Interactive publisher already released a short teaser of the upcoming James Bond game on Nov. 19. The short clip shows an HD visual presentation of the iconic bullet shot of the popular movies. The YouTube video reads "Our Next Project."
"IO Interactive, in collaboration with MGM, EON Productions and Delphi announced today that they are developing and publishing the very first James Bond origin story with the working title Project 007," stated a press release viaVG24/7's latest report.
Why "Project 007" is exciting
IO Interactive announced that it is developing a whole new narrative for the upcoming game, which is the most important part. The game publisher claimed that "Project 007" will feature the original James Bond story exclusively as a game.
However, the company hasn't released any confirmation yet if the famous actor will appear in the game or a new face will be used for the infamous agent. Hakan Abrak, IO Interactive's CEO, said that the upcoming game is really a good news for the company.
The CEO added that the company is working hard with its creative partners at MGM and EON.
IO Interactive is the most "ambitious game"
Abrak said that the upcoming James Bond game is the "most ambitious" project in the history of IO Interactive studio. He added that developing an original James Bond game is a memorable experience for the game publisher.
The outcome could be a great one since the game publisher's skills are evident in the 'Hitman' series, which is considered the most refined and rewarding game in the game series.
"Project 007" will use IO Interactive's proprietary Glacier technology. This means that the game will be made for modern platforms and systems. However, the company hasn't announced yet if it'll be available on the latest consoles, such as Xbox Series X and S, and PS5.
